Working from home can be very hard on your body. At Tumwater Chiropractic Center we are educating our patients on how to make their at-home work day as comfortable and ergonomically correct as possible. Here sre some tips for you to try:
- When sitting, place both feet flat on the floor, distribute weight equally on both sit bones
- Bring your screens (including your phone!) up to eye level to reduce strain on the neck and upper back
- When typing, bring your elbows in closer to your sides to prevent tight shoulder muscles and impingement
- Posture check! Sternum up and arch the low back. Take tension off the shoulders and the lumbar spine
